My First Rukato Story

“Hey! Hey, Rika wait up!” yelled Takato Matsuki, a young boy dressed in his usual blue sleeveless sweatshirt, his yellow wristbands one on each hand and his grayish pants. Takato turned the corner without noticing that Rika had waited. He ran right into Rika and they both fell. Takato got a look on his face a look that said oh great I’m dead now. Rika held up a fist to his and then said “What took you so long goggle head.” “Uh, well yeah. I sort of took the long route.” Said Takato while getting up from the ground and helping Rika up. “Yeah sure.” Replied Rika sarcastically. After they had defeated the D-reaper Takato, Rika, and Henry have been spending a lot more time together. “Well. Come on goggle head. We have to get there soon.” Said Rika. Takato caught up with Rika and asked “Where are we going exactly?” Rika sighed as she knew that she will have to say this slowly “We. Meaning you and me are going to Henry’s house.” Takato nodded and said “Ok.” Rika shook her head and quietly mumbled to herself “That’s like the fiftieth time I had to tell you that.” “What was that Rika?” asked Takato. “Nothing.”

                    “Will you quit bothering me?” said Rika as they arrived at Henry’s house. “Oh great. You haven’t even been here a minute and you’re all ready fighting.” Said Henry. “Hey Henry.” Said Takato and just randomly started to smile. “Hi Takato. So, what’d you do to Rika this time?” Asked Henry, hoping to actually get an answer. “Uh. I don’t know. I just wanted to ask her if I could borrow a pencil.” Replied Takato. “Yeah and I told you no. So, you kept on whining like a little baby.” Said Rika. “Wow. You guys are unbelievable. Can’t you just tell each other you guys like each other?” Said Henry with his I’m right look on his face. “What! You’ll regret you ever said that.” Said Rika, holding her fist up to Henry ready to punch him. “Wow!” said Takato. Both of his friends looked back at him and said “What?” “Wow. It’s pretty weird. I feel like I have to beat up Henry also. But, I won’t because Henry is my friend.” Said Takato. “Thanks. Takato.” Said Henry. “Now if someone will just lower their fist.”  “Yeah you don’t have to say it twice.” Said Rika. “Come on guys I need to show you something.” Said Henry as he walked into his house and his friends followed.

                  “Here it is.” Said Henry as he showed Rika and Takato something that had came onto Henry’s hard drive a couple days ago. “What is it?” Asked Takato. “It is a digital egg. “ Inside it is a Zerimon which digivolves to Gummymon which digivolves to Terriermon.” Explained Henry. “I believe that the Digimon are trying to come back to the human world. But, to do that they must go back to the digiegg. I also, think that if you guys check your computer that you might have a digiegg to.” “No way.” Said Takato ready to split out of there. Then he noticed Rika who looked like she was ready to tear up. “Rika are you ok?” Asked Takato, he was concerned he had never seen his friend act like this. “I’m fine. I have to go. Thanks Henry.” Said Rika as she ran to her house not able to keep all of her tears in. One slipping here and there. “I’m gonna go see if she’s ok.” Said Takato as he ran after Rika. “They so like each other.” Said Henry after both of them left. Henry got back onto his computer checking on his digiegg.

               “Rika! Hold on.” Yelled Takato as he watched her turn the corner. Right then he realized that he couldn’t catch up to her unless. He took his shortcut. Rika could hear her good friends but, she was worried if Takato knew that she was crying which he probably already does then he could destroy her tough girl rep. Takato cut through the streets trying to find Rika. Of course he knew that she had gone to her house. But, something seemed to pull Takato away from there. Takato could sense it, Rika was in trouble. He couldn’t tell what was going to happen.

                Takato: Heart: You love her you know you do Mind: What me and Rika are just friends Heart: Why do stress this way over her then Mind: Because. Because. Because I care about her Heart: Not only that but, you love her Mind: Ok we’ll go with that for now

                “Could it be true?” Takato asked to himself. Rika ran as fast as she could to her house. She was nervous The last thing she wanted right now was to get her rep ruined. Now more tears were running down Rika’s face as if she couldn’t hold them back at all.  “Rika!” Said Takato as he reached the front of her house. Rika held back all of the tears she could and turned to face Takato and said “Yes.” “Are you ok Rika?” “Yeah I’m fine.” “You don’t look fine right now. You look sad. What happened.” Asked Takato stepping a little closer. “I’ll tell you.”

FLASHBACK

                “Rika its time for dinner.” Yelled Rika’s mom. “Ok. I’ll be down there in a minute.” Suddenly Rika could hear quiet beeping noises. The first thing that came to her mind was Renamon. “Renamon?” Asked Rika as if Renamon could hear her. She dug though a bunch of her old stuff and grabbed her D-power. “Renamon? Renamon? Are you there?” asked Rika, franticly. “Rika is that you.” Asked a voice that sounded really familiar.  “Renamon!!.” Said Rika, quickly recognizing the voice. “Rika. Its to late. We can’t be saved. No hope. There’s no hope.” Said Renamon. “Don’t talk like that.” “I-I-It will b-b-b-becoming soon. Trust is not needed.” Said Renamon right before she got disconnected. “Renamon! Renamon come back.” Said Rika. “Rika! Its time for dinner.” Yelled Rika’s mom once again. “Ok be there soon.” Said Rika.

END OF FLASHBACK

                 “That’s when Renamon contacted me.” Said Rika with a few tears dripping down her face. “It’ll be ok.” Said Takato. “We’ll make sure we get the Digimon back.” Rika slightly smiled still sad. “Takato.” “Yeah.” “Thank you.” Said Rika with tears now running down her face again. Takato wiped away her tears and said “No problem.” Takato gave Rika a slight kiss on the lips and said “Everything will be ok.”
